This weeks player in focus is Jack Balcombe
Jack first joined me in September 2006 two weeks after I had taken over and has since become a fantastic player
and one of the first names on the team sheet. I had no hesitation in naming Jack as club captain, as he always
leads by example and reads the game so well. When we have new players join the club, Jack is the first to make
them feel welcome and encourages the other players to do so as well. Known to all the boys as JT after his idol
John Terry.
Jack is a popular member of the club and I am really proud to say I know Jack as a great player and
a fantastic person as well. His behavour both on and off the pitch is an example everyone should follow and
he should take a lot of credit for his professional attitude and we all wish him well for this season.
